Overview

This Privacy Policy (this "Policy") governs the collection, use, and disclosure of information by Kevin Struna ("Developer," "I," "me," or "my") in connection with the following iOS applications: Rogue Roll, Kodou, Wordly, Type Kana, Idea Vault, Stock Market Sim, and Quizaroo (collectively, the "Apps"). By downloading, installing, or using any of the Apps, you ("User" or "you") agree to the terms of this Policy.

In general, the Apps do not require the creation of a user account, I do not operate servers that collect User data, and content created within an App is stored locally on the User's device, subject to the limited exceptions described below, the most significant of which is Quizaroo's cloud sync and publishing features described in Section 3.

1. Information Collected

I do not collect, store, or sell personal information, including but not limited to your name, email address, phone number, or precise location. The Apps do not require account registration, and I do not operate independent analytics platforms, servers, or databases.

Most of the Apps utilize Apple's MetricKit framework to collect crash and performance diagnostics automatically. This information is generated and retained solely on the User's device. I do not receive this information unless: (a) an App provides the User with an explicit option to share a diagnostic report, or (b) the User has separately enabled Apple's system-level diagnostics and usage sharing settings, in which case Apple may transmit anonymized crash and performance data to me. Such data cannot be used to identify any individual User.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

Content and progress created within an App, including but not limited to notes created in Idea Vault, puzzle statistics recorded in Wordly, portfolio data maintained in Stock Market Sim, and game progress or settings maintained in any App, is stored locally on the User's device and is not transmitted to or accessible by me.

Idea Vault offers optional security features, including the ability to lock the application using Face ID or Touch ID and the ability to encrypt individual notes. Both features are disabled by default. If enabled, biometric authentication is processed entirely by Apple's operating system and hardware; I do not have access to any biometric data. Locally stored data is protected by the security measures of the User's device and is deleted upon uninstallation of the applicable App.

3. Quizaroo: Cloud Sync, Publishing, and Moderation

Quizaroo is the exception to the general description above. When you first use Quizaroo, a local profile, which includes at minimum a display name you choose, is created automatically and synced through Apple's iCloud and CloudKit to the private database associated with your own iCloud account, along with your quiz play history. This data is scoped to your iCloud account by Apple's own infrastructure, and I do not directly access it.

Signing in with Apple is required only if you choose to publish a quiz you created; it is never required to play. When you do, Quizaroo receives an identifier that Apple generates specifically for your Apple ID and this app, which I use to attribute your published quizzes to you and for moderation, such as identifying a creator's published catalog if it needs to be removed. I do not request your name or email address as part of this sign in, and I do not receive them.

If you publish a quiz, its content, including its title, questions, answer options, scoring values, and outcome text, along with your app-scoped author identifier, is stored in a public CloudKit database that any user of Quizaroo can browse and play, unlike the privately synced content described above. If you report a quiz or block a creator within Quizaroo, that information is stored to enforce the app's Community Guidelines; a published quiz is automatically hidden from browse and search once it accumulates five or more reports, pending review. You can unpublish a quiz, edit or clear your profile, or delete most of your Quizaroo data at any time from within the app's Settings, or by contacting me; a small amount of data, such as your list of favorited quizzes and your prior age confirmation, is not cleared by this action and remains on your device.

Quizaroo displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, as described in Section 4 below, and does not include third-party analytics or offer in-app purchases or subscriptions.

4. Advertising

The free versions of certain Apps, including Quizaroo, display advertisements served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure advertisements, AdMob may collect certain data, including the device's advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, device model, general location, and ad interaction data. I do not receive or store this data.

Where consent is required, the Apps request consent before any advertising data is collected, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, and, in regions governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), through Google's User Messaging Platform. A User who declines tracking will continue to receive advertisements without cross-app tracking. Users may opt out of personalized advertising at any time through Settings under Privacy & Security. Additional information is available in Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data practices. Purchases that remove advertisements also terminate ad-related data collection.

5. Game Center

Kodou and Rogue Roll offer optional leaderboards through Apple Game Center. If a User elects to sign in, Apple processes the User's gameplay data, including scores, display name, and player ID; the Apps access this data solely through Apple's GameKit framework for the purpose of displaying rankings. Game Center data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Users may sign out of Game Center at any time through Settings.

6. In-App Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. I do not see or store payment information. Refund and billing inquiries should be directed to Apple's Report a Problem service.

7. Notifications

Certain Apps, including Wordly, may send local notifications, such as a daily puzzle reminder. Such notifications are generated entirely on the User's device, involve no transmission of data, and may be disabled at any time through Settings or within the applicable App.

8. Children's Privacy

Each App's age rating is available on its App Store listing. The Apps do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, and I comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Advertising and Game Center interactions are governed by Google's and Apple's respective child privacy frameworks. Any person who believes a child has provided personal information through an App should contact me, and the matter will be addressed.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on the User's jurisdiction, applicable laws, including the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), may provide rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data. Because most of the Apps do not directly collect personal data, such rights may be exercised through the User's device settings (Settings, then Privacy & Security) and through Google's Ad Settings. For Quizaroo, which syncs data through iCloud and, for published content, stores it in a public database as described in Section 3, these rights can also be exercised directly within the app or by contacting me. Users may also contact me directly with any request or question.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, together with a revised effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the applicable App Store release notes.

11. Contact
