This privacy policy applies to all iOS apps published by Kevin Struna: Rogue Roll, Kodou, Wordly, Type Kana, Idea Vault, and Stock Market Sim (the "Apps"). The short version: the Apps do not require accounts, I do not run servers that collect your data, and everything you create stays on your device.
Information I Collect
The Apps do not collect, store, or sell personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location. There are no accounts to create, and I do not operate my own analytics, servers, or databases. If you have enabled Apple's optional diagnostics and usage sharing at the system level, Apple may share anonymized crash reports and performance data with me. This data cannot be used to identify you.
Data Stored on Your Device
Content and progress you create in an App, such as notes in Idea Vault, puzzle statistics in Wordly, your portfolio in Stock Market Sim, or game progress and settings anywhere else, is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, some of it may sync to your personal iCloud account, which I cannot access. This data is protected by your device's security and Apple's infrastructure, and it is deleted when you uninstall the App.
Advertising
The free versions of some Apps display ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob may collect certain data, such as your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, device model, general location, and ad interaction data. I never receive or store this data myself.
Where consent is required, the Apps ask before any advertising data is collected: through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and in regions covered by GDPR, through Google's User Messaging Platform. If you decline tracking, ads are still shown but without cross-app tracking. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in Settings under Privacy & Security. You can learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data practices. Purchases that remove ads also remove ad-related data collection.
Game Center
Kodou and Rogue Roll offer optional leaderboards through Apple Game Center. If you sign in, Apple processes your gameplay data, such as scores, display name, and player ID, and the Apps access it only through Apple's GameKit framework to display rankings. Game Center data is governed by Apple's privacy policy, and you can sign out at any time in Settings.
In-App Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. I never see or store your payment information. For refunds and billing questions, use Apple's Report a Problem page.
Notifications
Some Apps, like Wordly, can send local reminders such as a daily puzzle notification. These are generated entirely on your device, involve no data transmission, and can be turned off at any time in Settings or in the app.
Children's Privacy
Each App's age rating is listed on its App Store page. The Apps do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, I comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and ads and Game Center interactions are managed by Google's and Apple's child privacy frameworks. If you believe a child has provided personal information through one of the Apps, contact me and I will address it.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, laws like the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Because the Apps do not collect personal data directly, these rights are exercised through your device settings (Settings, then Privacy & Security) and through Google's ad settings. You can also email me with any request or question.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above, and significant changes will be noted in App Store release notes.
